Invites applications for the position of LAP/TITLE COORDINATOR

SELECTION PROCESS

The Superintendent of the Wishram School and a Screening committee will determine the candidates to be interviewed and will conduct interviews with the help of staff. The Superintendent will select based on the recommendation of the interview committee.

CONTRACT PROVISIONS

The teacher will be placed on the Wishram School District teacher's salary schedule.

THE COMMUNITY

Our school is in the town of Wishram, WA located in the heart if the renowned Columbia Gorge on the banks of the beautiful Columbia River. It’s a short distance away from The Dalles, OR and Goldendale, WA. The small town of Wishram (Approximately 350 residents), is rural and an ideal family/recreational setting. The community is very supportive of the school and its staff.

STUDENTS

The School has a K-12 enrollment of 100 students. The School class sizes range from 5-17 students.

STAFFING

The Wishram School District is staffed with one Superintendent/Principal one Director of Operations, ten certified teachers, and ten classified staff members and. Additional educational staff is provided by Educational Service District 112, Special Services Cooperative. Staff turnover is generally low. Curriculum is provided during an seven period day and all grades begin and end the instructional day at the same time.

MINIMUM PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential functions: (to include but not be limited to)

· Will be responsible for K-12 Data collection and analysis to provide to the teaching team and district based upon local and state assessment results.

· Will be responsible for assessment testing and dissemination of information to the teaching team and district.

· Will be responsible for creating and carrying out individual targeted support for students who are identified through the analysis of data, and working with individual teachers to


ensure that scholars receive the support they need to gain proficiency in ELA, Math, and/or Science.

· Will be responsible for directing and supervising the Intervention Paraprofessionals in carrying out the intervention support that has been planned based on the assessment data. The supervision will be both through observation and through record reviews.

· Will be responsible for all data reporting for state and federal purposes.

· Will be responsible for all state and federal grant submissions pertaining to TITLE and LAP.

· Will act as a member of the district instructional improvement team, and be willing to actively seek out instructional improvement opportunities and model them for applicable staff at district PD sessions.

· Conduct community/student/staff surveys.

Professional Qualification Requirements:

· A valid Washington State Teaching Certificate

· Demonstrated ability to work with students and staff.

· Criminal history fingerprint check through WSP and FBI.

· Basic computer skills.

· Must be flexible and able to work well with others.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

To further support the vision of Wishram School District #94 in providing a comprehensive educational experience for all students K-12 in a rural setting, we are searching for a candidate who can provide instruction in any (or all) of the following areas: Music, Drama, Art, P.E., Culinary Arts, and any other subject that may further benefit our scholars

Working conditions:

May be required to travel for professional development. May be required to share a classroom.

Will be required to adhere to all district health and safety procedures.
